What is Goldmine Connect?
It is included with your Goldmine Premium at no additional charge and enables web access to your database via internet-enabled smart devices, including Android and iPhone tablets and mobiles! Simply install it on your Goldmine Server and your database is ready for online publishing!
Why use Goldmine Connect?
Any User that is working remotely, or wants to access or update Goldmine whilst on the move, will find this invaluable! Get access to your data from your smart device and update ‘instantly’ – no more waiting to get to your laptop or office PC! And I mean ‘instantly’, so data will be updated without any delays as there is no Sync process.
Is Goldmine Connect easy to use?
Absolutely and in many ways, it is much better than the desktop interface, with links to Social Media, Google Maps and Documents in all the right places! Just to get the terminology right, Goldmine Connect is what is installed on your Server, whereas what the Users will see is referred to as Goldmine Web.
You can even link Emails, manage Activities, Opportunities and Cases!
With so many of us working from home, there is now a Company Announcement ‘iframe’ where global messages can be shared. The same logic is available to launch other applications like your ERP or Quotewerks from another iframe, which makes the User Interface mobile responsive, real time and really intuitive!
Is Goldmine Connect easy to install?
This requires a bit of tech talk, but in a nutshell, it works with Microsoft IIS which needs to be installed on the same Server as your main Goldmine Premium installation. You will need a SSL certificate, either self signed, or preferably from your ISP for better security and perhaps even a VPN for added security. All said and done, the installation is not difficult and we can provide an Install Guide.

Do I need GraphOn or Goldmine Cloud?
No, these are alternative remote desktop solutions which come at a price and are not a dependency for Goldmine Connect. However, keep them in mind should you want an alternative to Citrix, or wish to install (or migrate) your main Goldmine installation on the Cloud. We can help of course and are very experienced with Goldmine Connect, Goldmine Cloud and GraphOn (aka iGoldmine) implementations.
